All Your Dental Hygiene Needs

At Complete Dental Hygiene Clinic we are committed to educating you on your current oral health status and providing you with all your dental hygiene needs.

Direct Billing

Let us do all the paperwork for you.  We are pleased to offer direct billing to insurance companies including billing to secondary insurances.  Each patient is only responsible for what their insurance provider does not cover.

In-Office Whitening

We offer professional, light-activated teeth whitening and products that dramatically whiten teeth without increasing sensitivity.  We also provide a Whitening Touch-Up Program for those who come regularly for teeth cleaning to maintain and brighten your smile even more.

Complete Assessment

This is a complete extra/intra-oral assessment including full mouth periodontal probing, photos of areas of concern and charting to assess the current state of oral health.  An overall dental and medical history review including any existing conditions.

Dental Radiographs

Digital, low-dose X-rays allow for a complete assessment of our patient’s current periodontal state including bone levels, tartar build up, infections and possible decay.  With our patient’s permission we have the technology to both forward X-rays to and receive X-rays from our patient’s dental provider.

Local Anesthetic

We offer freezing for those cases of extreme sensitivity, very strong cheek and lip muscles that will not relax and to access those deeper periodontal pockets to ensure all the bacteria has been flushed out comfortably.

Polishing

The mechanical removal of plaque and extrinsic stain by individually selecting a prophylaxis paste with the appropriate abrasives depending on each patient’s case.  We have a large selection of flavors to choose from to provide a more enjoyable experience.

Fluoride

Fluoride helps strengthen the tooth enamel through a process of remineralization.  This is especially important for children as their tooth enamel is not as strong as in adults.  As well, until children have perfected their oral hygiene habits they may be at a higher risk for cavities.

Fluoride Alternative

Hydroxyapatite is one of the building blocks that make up tooth enamel, dentin and cementum.

Hydroxyapatite can help protect the tooth’s outer layer, prevent demineralization and strengthen tooth enamel.  It has been proven to be equally as effective as fluoride.  Ask us for more information.

Desensitizing

Tooth hypersensitivity is pain that comes from exposed dentin in response to thermal, chemical or physical stimuli.  We will identify the areas of sensitivity and alter the damage by applying an appropriate desensitizing agent BEFORE your cleaning so that you can enjoy your cleaning in comfort.

Sealants

This is a polyacid-modified resin coating that bonds with the tooth structure to help shield out bacteria and prevent decay.  This is a low-cost method of protecting the biting surfaces of the teeth in children from future cavities.

Topical Anesthetic

For our patient’s comfort we offer a topical gel (Benzocaine) that can be placed on the gingiva or Oraquix (Lidocaine and Prilocaine) placed into periodontal pockets that may be tender or inflamed.

Periodontal Therapy

This includes scaling and root planning to remove any bacteria present in the oral cavity to promote a healthy oral state.  We use a combination of ultrasonic and hand-scaling to provide optimal results.

Disclosing Agent

A liquid which when applied on natural teeth makes biofilm visible, focusing on areas that have been missed out during daily toothbrushing.  This tool is especially important with children who are learning to perfect their oral hygiene habits.

Polyox Oral Bandage

This is an anhydrous powder that creates an occlusive cover in a moist environment.  If a patient has an aphthous ulcer (canker sore) or other trauma within the mouth we are able to apply this powder, with or without Lidocaine, and then we will send home the remainder to aid in healing more quickly
